Our on-site Equity and Inclusion Training focusing on culturally and linguistically appropriate services through cultural competency education programs. We believe that all patients and clients of health and human services organizations deserve the best chance at healthy and fulfilling lives. Therefore, our equity and inclusion training – based on the principles of cultural competency – will help you and your staff address health disparities, negative identity bias, and barriers to care. Trainings are customized to meet the needs of our clients and can be designed to vary from brief introductory webinars to in-depth, multi-day workshops. We can deliver our trainings in person, virtually, or at your site.

As a participant in one of our trainings, you will learn tools and resources to build or strengthen cultural competency. You will have an opportunity to reflect on your own cultural and organizational values, and to recognize that cultural and social identity differences create distinctive life experiences which can become challenging to intercultural communication, despite our best intentions. We work with you on personal and organizational strategies for mitigating, overcoming, and learning from these challenges.
We take pride in customizing our trainings for maximum relevance and effectiveness to meet the needs of our clients. Some the training topics we cover are:
- The Principles of Cultural Competency
- Equity and Inclusion Defined
- The Range of our Differences
- Cultural Agility
- Implicit Bias
- Involving the Community
- Health Disparities: The Core Paradox
- The Culture of Western Medicine
